Add Page Numbers to Documents
This guide will help you add page numbers to a start fresh document template using the document editor. Follow the steps below to customize your page numbers.
Steps to Add Page Numbers
- Open the Document Editor
- Navigate to the documents page and select the edit icon on the start fresh document you want to modify.
- Access Headers & Footers Settings
- In the document editor, locate and select the Headers & Footers Settings section.
- Enable Page Numbering
- In the Headers & Footers Settings section, click the Page Numbering button. This will slide out a layer from the right side of the screen. Toggle on "Use Page Numbering".
- Configure Page Numbering Settings
- Set the Starting Page Number: Decide what number you want the page numbering to start at.
- Choose the Starting Page: Specify which page you want the numbering to begin on.
- Select Header and/or Footer: Choose whether you want the page numbers to appear in the header, the footer, or both.
- Align Page Numbers: Decide where you want the page numbers aligned on the page (left, center, or right).
- Customize Font and Font Size: Select the font and font size for the page numbers.
- Save Your Settings
- Once you have configured your settings, click Save. The slide-out layer will close automatically.
Turning Off Page Numbering
If you change your mind and want to disable page numbering, follow these steps:
- Access Headers & Footers Settings
- Navigate back to the Headers & Footers Settings section in the document editor.
- Disable Page Numbering
- Click the Page Numbering button to open the slide-out layer.
- Toggle off "Use Page Numbering".
- Save Your Changes
- Click Save to confirm your changes and close the layer.
Final Save
After making any changes to the page numbering or other document settings, ensure you click Save Document at the bottom of the editor to save all your changes to the start fresh document.
