E-Signature Packets

We have released a new asset type, E-Signature packets, that allow matters to fill out up to two custom forms and sign one document through one unified link. The custom forms can contain booking requests and/or Payment Gateways to allow the matter to schedule appointments and submit payments, as well.

  • Portal Message Notification Email was sending users to portal instead of the matter page. This issue has been resolved.

  • Filtering tasks date range filtering was not pulling all results. This issue has been resolved.

  • Report Subscriptions were being sent at wrong time due to a latency. This issue has been resolved.

Sync Google LSA Leads to Lawmatics

We've enhanced the Google Ads integration so that Google LSA campaigns have the option to sync LSA leads directly into Lawmatics. You'll see the new option in your Google Ads Integration Settings to enable this, and what type of leads you would like synced:

Bug Fixes

  • The "Portal Message Received" user notifications email linked to the client portal instead of the matter page. This issue has been resolved.

  • The filter options are abnormally small on Payment Activity, Hours Billed, and Calendar pages. This issue has been resolved.

  • Alphabetical sub-lists on custom documents were converting to numbered lists after saving. This issue has been resolved.

Sync Closed Matter Status from Clio to Lawmatics

We’ve added a new setting to the Clio integration that allows users to automatically sync closed matters from Clio back into Lawmatics. You’ll now see a toggle in your Clio integration settings labeled “Sync Closed Matter Status Back to Lawmatics.” When enabled, you can map Clio’s closed status to any corresponding status in Lawmatics, keeping your workflows consistent and eliminating manual updates.

Bug Fixes

  • When creating an appointment through an internal form using the appointment block, the start and end times defaulted to 30 minutes, regardless of the actual duration set for the appointment type. This issue has been resolved.

  • In custom dashboard panels displaying appointment data, canceled appointments were incorrectly appearing as upcoming. This issue has been resolved.

  • The Unsubscribe toggle was not persisting as False for Company Matters, even when manually updated. This issue has been resolved.

Bug Fixes

  • The Billing page under Settings was stuck in a loading state and would not fully load. This issue has been resolved.

  • When sending a text directly from the Matter page, the message input box retained the previous message instead of clearing automatically. Users had to manually delete the text before composing a new message. This issue has been resolved.

  • Expired e-signature documents could still be opened by matters and users. Attempting to sign these expired documents caused the “Submit” button to load indefinitely without completing the process. This issue has been resolved.

CC Anyone on Appointment Confirmations & Reminders

A CC field is now available for appointment confirmations and reminders. You can choose any relationship in the account—such as a family member, spouse, or co-client—and they’ll be copied on the outgoing messages.

Improved Folder Visibility When Filtering Emails

When filters are applied on the Emails page, folders will now display a count of how many emails within them match the selected filters. This update makes it easier to see at a glance where your filtered emails are located across folders.

Bug Fixes

  • Searching for a matter by name (e.g., when using “Load Form For Matter” or adding as a relationship) sometimes failed to return results, even though the matter existed. This issue has been resolved.

  • When adding or withdrawing funds from a trust account, the transaction date displayed one day earlier than the date entered. This issue has been resolved.

  • Contact-related columns (e.g., first name, full name) in custom transaction reports were not displaying data and appeared blank. This issue has been resolved.

  • Attachments were not being delivered when using the Quick Send Email option. Emails sent successfully, but attachments were missing from the recipient’s message. This issue has been resolved.

Send Quick Emails from the Contact Page

A quick send email can now be sent directly from a contact’s detail page. A "Send Email" button has been added to the top of the contact view, shown in the screenshot below. Clicking it will allow the user to compose the email from scratch and send it directly to the contacts email.

Bug Fixes

  • When using a custom date range to filter by a matter custom field with a date value, the report was including matters that fell outside the specified range. This issue has been resolved.

  • Invoices with payment plans were remaining in "Sent" status after the first partial installment was paid. The status now correctly updates to "Partially Paid" once any payment is applied. This issue has been resolved.

Color Code Appointments/Events

Firms can now color-code appointment and event types on the calendar. To set this up, go to the Appointments/Events settings page and choose a color for each appointment or event type. The selected colors will be reflected on the calendar for easier visual organization.

Bug Fixes

  • In appointment-based automations, using the "Send email from appointment host" option was incorrectly displaying the host as a deleted user and defaulting to the firm email. This issue has been resolved.

  • When sending an SMS message from a matter, the "Send" button appeared disabled, even though the message would still send when clicked. Additionally, the message field did not clear after sending. This issue has been resolved.
